Teaching the alphabet is foundational for reading and writing. Around the age of 2, children begin showing interest in learning alphabet letters. While some kids learn letters very quickly, others need more repetition and time to learn letters.

Here is a simple way to teach letter and letter sounds
Place 5 or 6 letters on a page. Ask your student the name of the letter and the letter sound. Once they have mastered the first 5 or 6 add three more, and so on. This must be done consistently in order to master this skill. If you continue to practice these you will master all 26 letters in a very short time.
